Charlotte Ross- Lancaster Medical School

Charlotte Ross is a TAMS Scholar and first year medical student at the University of Lancaster. We caught up with her to hear some of her reflections on the programme thus far. Here’s what she had to say:

Hi Charlotte, if you don’t mind sharing, why did you apply to the tams scholars programme?

‘I applied to the TAMS scholar programme to network with other Widening Participation students from across the country and to help boost my confidence while in my 1st year of medical school!’

If at all, how has the programme helped you so far?

‘I’ve found the programme really beneficial so far as it’s been amazing to have regular PPD session where we’ve listened to talks from other WP doctors and medical students. It’s really inspired me and made me realise that I am so much more than a medical student!’

Would you recommend the programme to incoming first years, if so who would you recommend the programme to?

‘I would certainly recommend the programme for incoming 1st year WP medical students!’

The TAMS Scholars Programme team are so proud of Charlotte and we are very excited to continue to support her in her various endeavours.
